Awesome, for Christmas, Windows XP decided to take my external F: drive hostage and now I can't read or write to it! F: happens to contain the following:

* Photoshop
* Illustrator
* All of my art files
* My entire music collection
* Spore
* Steam
* a folder of adorable spider photos
* AND MORE!

I think this was probably caused by installing a lot of stuff from Steam at the same time. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the drive itself , just Windows' ability to access it. It should work if it's plugged into a different computer which I'll try later, but until I can get it fixed all of my art stuff is on hold.

It's that special time again, when I ask for help in the form of commissions while I'm looking for an actual job. I wouldn't ask if I didn't need the assistance, so if I can supplement myself this way it would help a lot.

Hmm... I know I don't actually use my dA journal much to talk about personal stuff, usually it's just for general announcements on what projects I'm up to or reposting memes or whatever, but this bared mention because it is super exciting and important.

Tomorrow evening, my boyfriend will be coming here and staying for three months. He's been here before but it was only for a week, and I've stayed at his place several times (whenever I'm off in England for a couple months, it's because I'm visiting him.) I'm so excited and nervous and anxious, I can barely sleep lately x__x We really didn't get to do much last he was here besides sitting around the house, there just wasn't enough time.

Now I'm freaking out over whether the house is clean enough and if the weather is too hot and how security will treat him at the airport (not well, last time) and if we have food he likes and whether my family will annoy him too much and a billion other things. I mean, I'm definitely happy and excited but I know I won't be able to calm down until I'm able to squeeze him to bits again u_u

Anyway... I guess I'm mainly posting this to say, while I do plan on continuing art stuff while he's here (hopefully I'll be more inspired XP) that it's quite likely that I'll be too preoccupied to be active on dA.
