Synth Gryphon

Synth Gryphon was built out of spare parts by Dr. Light (at the insistance of Bass) as a support unit for Metrix. This was before Lyric, her original pet, was able to find her again and reintroduce himself to her. Synth and Lyric are friends, as they share the job of protecting and assisting Metrix, but they can still get a bit competitive at times.

Because he was rather hastily thrown together, Synth is kind of quirky, and will chew apart and eat almost anything for no reason at all (including Blues' scarf, but his favorite food is dry catfood.) However, Light took the time to carefully program into Synth a fundamental sense of goodness and justice, in the hopes that the gryphon would be able to guide Metrix onto a less destructive path than the one she was created for.
