Was it really so hard to come up with new poses that you couldn't do it in a decade? I mean, it took me a couple of hours and I didn't even get paid for it. I was really looking forward to that art.

Only a few strike me as too much like the originals, but I'm sorry one happened to be one of your favourites D:

This just reminded me on how awsome Ariados is. For some reason I never really paid attention to it until I caught one in Pearl. I like how the background gives the picture a feeling of being in a computer dimension.

However, I don't all the hate on the new artwork. I can understand why people would disapprove of his new art style, especially with the humans since they look drastically different from before. But yet I do give him credit for changing his style up. Even if it's just small updates to old art or different character designs. I for one can't wait to see new artwork of the gym leaders- Johto had my favorite set.

Now if he was drawing in the exact same, blocky, stiff way since the days of RBY then I'd consider him "not trying anymore." I saw Blue/Gary's design from RBY right next to his FR/LG artwork and I thought the new one was much better. More fluid and lively.

Sorry for getting carried away. I still respect your opinion, especially with all the immature idiots that still throw tantrums over the new girl's design.

It's not his current style that I dislike, hell, Sugimori has influenced my art a ton in the past decade or so.

It's the fact that a lot of the HGSS artwork was directly traced from his GS art with very few tweaks to it, then recolored and called new. I was really looking forward to new spider art because they get so neglected, and seeing the exact same static poses for the two of them was extremely disappointing. Ledian got new art, why didn't they?

As for the ones he did redraw entirely, some of the poses are very odd and I wouldn't have chosen them myself, but at least they got brand new art.

Oh ok now I understand. From what I saw in the link before Natu and Xatu didn't get big redesigns either. I was disappointed with those two as well, but at least they still look fine. Same with Sudowoodo, I would have loved to see it strike a different pose and still be amusing. Now I'm inspired to draw it a new pose when I get the chance.

Noctowl didn't get updated much either, but I think the minor tweaks make it look better. It looks more intimidating than in the old art as if it's staring into my soul or something.

With the HGSS art I'm just going by an individual basis, as some do better with or without updates.

Though I'm just glad HGSS is coming out.

Yeah, same poses as before? Lazy Sugi, eh? XD

Well, I like your art very much. Nicely done.

I have mized feelings on it. Skarmory failed, and some of them were lazy, but I thought Typhlosion rocked.

My sister said that "Skarmory is a nugget."

I'll pretend I understand your sister, then. Then again, since when do we understand younger siblings? (I have a brother; the kid drives me nuts.)
